My Story

Growing up, I was always the "therapist friend." I always felt most connected to others and myself when I was helping. I attended CSU, Fresno for my undergraduate education and achieved my BS in Child Development. After working at a pediatric dental office and nannying, I returned and completed my Master's in Family and Child Counseling. I worked in a nonprofit in Loomis, CA for several years and then in private practice until I completed my pre-licensure requirements. I achieved licensure and launched my own private practice in 2022. I truly believe that providing support to people in need is my calling.

As a mother of two, I have an understanding of the unique challenges and joys of parenting. I love working alongside fellow parents and giving them tools to feel grounded and purposeful in parenthood. After I had my first child, I suffered with traumatic symptoms from childbirth and severe anxiety. I went to therapy and I did all of the things I was supposed to and nothing seemed to make a difference. I began researching ways to calm my body down, since this is where I felt like my stress was residing. For years I have practiced nervous system regulation and have witnessed first hand the impact it has on mental wellness. My personal healing has influenced my professional approach and I almost always incorporate education about the nervous system and regulation skills into my therapy practice.

Our children and teens are struggling with more mental health challenges than ever before. I am a strong advocate of setting children up with everything they need to face life's unavoidable adversity. I have this same intention with all of my clients but especially with young children, I want them to feel safe and know that I am undoubtedly in their corner. I am passionate about teaching kids at a young age that their strongest resources exist within themselves. I want therapy to be a place where kids feel secure and safe enough to play, regulate, process, understand, learn, and grow. I want kids to learn a large emotional vocabulary. I want to help children find peace and stillness in a world that seems to never slow down. I want teens to understand the truth about screens and social media. I want to empower our youth to live authentically and with intention. Most of all, I want my clients to learn that mental health is not only a priority when we are faced with challenges, it is a priority all of the time.

Therapy is my job but mental wellness is my passion. The therapeutic relationship is the biggest predictor of treatment success and I prioritize it accordingly. I believe the foundation of all healing is connection. My holistic approach to treatment is based off of my comprehensive understanding of mental health. As a therapist I prescribe time in nature, rest, and quality time with loved ones more than anything else. I am a clinician who will tell you to do less not more. Mental wellness is attainable for everyone and it should feel as such. â€‹â€‹

Life is hard. It's okay, it's life. Resiliency is an ability we all have, but what it looks like is very unique to each person. I am passionate about helping clients uncover their unique ability to understand, make meaning, and cope with life's hardness. In a world that pressures us into disconnection from each other and from ourselves I want to empower clients to live an authentic and meaningful life.

If you are looking for an honest, reliable, and comforting therapist, I may be a good fit for you.
